Have you ever watched the movie credits roll and have a loss for words? Completely speechless? Utterly shocked and amazed? Like you can't believe what you just saw?
That's the way I felt after watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen .
Words cannot describe what you are watching on the screen. The special effects are the most I have seen in any movie ever. Period.
Revenge is the sequel to the 2007 box-office hit Transformers , directed by Michael Bay. It features two young stars who made it big in the first movie, Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox.
The film picks up two years after Transformers ended. The Autobots, or good Transformers, have teamed up with the U.S. on a special team called "Nest." Their job is to find Decepticons, or bad Transformers, around the world and bring them down.
LeBeouf's character, Sam Witwicky, is off to college and he's trying to maintain a low profile with his Transformer car (Bumblebee) and a long distance relationship with his girlfriend Mikaela, played by Fox.
During his move into college, Sam discovers a piece of the "Allspark," which is an alien metal that was thought to be destroyed in the first film. Things start to go wrong for Sam from here on out.
An evil Decepticon from space, called The Fallen, is hell-bent on the destruction of Earth and gathers all of the Dececpticons to unleash a massive attack on Earth.
The Decepticons are looking for what's called The Energon, which is an incredible amount of energy that can be used to destroy worlds at will.
So it's a wild goose chase, as it usually is in these types of films, and there is not much else to elaborate on when it comes to the plot because it's not very thick or deserving of any recognition.
This movie will more than satisfy any special-effects junkies or hard-core action fans, such as me. "It's a lot of CGI, TNT, and TNA, every guy's movie," said movie fan Nick Armenta.
This movie is far from flawless. I had a problem with all of the crude comedy in this film. They go to such lengths to make people laugh that they completely disregard the kids who are watching it.
There are many sexual innuendos, bad language, and adult situations that occur in this film. I think they overdid this way too much. People who take children should be cautioned that this movie is not suitable for kids and carries a strong PG-13 rating. I don't want my little brother seeing half of the stuff in this film.
Despite a mediocre plot and many unnecessary aspects, this movie achieves its goal, which is to provide visual entertainment. The entertainment level is through the roof and it is never-ending. This movie outdoes Star Wars in special FX by a mile.
The substantial reason to see this movie is the special FX. No one expects an amazing plot when they go to see a Transformers movie anyway.
But this movie is a thrill ride unlike any other!
