Campus crime seemed to be popular in May and June, with 13 offenses reported on the North Lake College Police Department Crime Log.

The crimes ranged in severity from multiple fire alarms being pulled in May, to more serious violations such as the theft of a projector and a terroristic threat, which almost went unnoticed.

A whirlwind of emotions must have swept over instructional associate Bridget Tally after receiving 20 pages of death threats from the printer in K-308 this month. According to the police report filed on June 15, Tally was using the printer when 20 pages stated, "You're all going to die," printed off.

Lt. Bobby Zito said that Tally immediately brought the papers to the NLCPD, who then worked with the college IT department to try and trace the source of the threats. Unfortunately, the sender could not be traced and the suspect is still unknown.

"This isn't the first time it has happened in K-308," Zito said. "The last time was about a year ago and nothing came of it.

"I wouldn't even call it a threat."
