The popular Broadway play Present Laughter will be performed in the North Lake College Performance Hall March 9-12 by the NLC Theatre Company. Under the direction of Alice Butler, the three-act comedy is set in the London flat of a self-obsessed actor who is preparing for a touring commitment in Africa.

Feb. 17 opening showcases 27 drawings by current and former
Using the nude as the subject, twenty-five artists from the Art Department of North Lake College demonstrate both experiemental and anatomical approaches to the figure in an exhibit at the Imago Dei Gallery at Kathmandu, Nepal. The drawings represent all levels of student work created in art instructor Chris Fulmer’s NLC class, including Fulmer’s.

“There was a time round the holidays of last year where I didn’t think I was going to make it. I felt like I had lost everything. I was post surgery, in so much pain, going through more chemo and saw no end in sight. I also suffered from many problems in my personal life at the same time. I was on so many pills that it almost killed me. I ended up with pancreatitis and almost died in the intensive care unit.”
