Everyone in car must be buckled up

House Bill 537 states that all occupants of a vehicle, no matter their age, are required to be secured by a safety belt, no matter where they are seated in a vehicle. According to Texas Department of Public Safety, the law went into effect in September 2009. Full story

Driver education course now required for ages 18-24; online programs available

If you put off getting your driver’s license and are between the ages of 18 and 24, just studying the book  and taking the test is no longer enough. Thanks to changes in the Texas law, you can no longer just take the test on the office computer and wait a few weeks to receive your license. Full story
